Jones leaves MTV to join All3Media’s North One

MTV Networks exec Heather Jones is to become managing director at All3Media-owned independent producer North One Television.

She will be replaced at the Viacom-owned broadcaster by Kerry Taylor, who was covering for Jones during her maternity leave.

Jones, who spent nine years at MTV and was director of television at MTV Networks UK and Ireland, will head up North Television’s day-to-day business, reporting to chief executive Neil Duncanson, and will lead its recently announced expansion into the United States. She will join the company in May.

“Although I’ll be very sad to leave MTV Networks after nine fantastic years, I’m hugely excited to be heading to North One,” she said. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Neil Duncanson and learning about life in TV from the other side of the fence!”

This move means that Kerry Taylor has been promoted to senior vice president, director of television, MTV Networks UK and Ireland. She was previously VP, marketing, creative and publicity.
