Lorber leaves HBO CE

Marc Lorber has left the position of senior VP, original programming and production, at HBO Central Europe.

Lorber left the pay TV broadcaster at the start of January and is currently moving between Los Angeles and London working out future plans.

HBO Central Europe is currently in the middle of producing a number of local versions of hit Israeli format In Treatment. It recently launched the Romanian version of the show In Deriva, which Lorber had an executive production credit on, and is still in production with the Czech and Polish versions.

Lorber, who joined HBO CE in November 2009 from US producer and distributor Marvista, said: “It is with a sense of accomplishment, but a heavy heart that I take a break at year’s end and from HBO.”
