Zodiak launches digital unit Zodiak Active

International producer and distributor Zodiak Media Group has launched a digital and branded content division – Zodiak Active.

The new company sees the company merge its two existing digital businesses – Neo Network and RDF Contact – following Zodiak’s acquisition of the UK indie earlier this year.

The new division will be run by chief executive Marco Ferrari, who was previously chief executive of Italy-based Neo Network, and chairman Giorgio Gori, chief executive of Zodiak Southern Europe.

Tim Breadin, who was managing director of RDF Contact, and Cathy Rogers, who was creative director, will remain with the company and are expected to continue to run the UK arm of the business.

The new company will work with broadcasters, mobile operators and brands to launch original digital content, digital versions of its existing TV properties as well as branded content with companies including Renault and Unilever.
