Shine International has recruited Ruth Clarke from Disney to run its distribution business across the EMEA region.
She was commercial director at Disney programme sales arm Disney Media Distribution and will start in the newly created role at Shine’s distribution division at end-January.
Based in London, she will report to Shine executive VP John Pollak and oversee sales for all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to Disney, Clarke worked at Warner Bros. and consultancy Accenture. She said: “I have hugely enjoyed my time at Disney in the different roles that I’ve been privileged enough to hold there, however this was an opportunity to join a very exciting, dynamic group at a fantastic time in their growth which I’m very excited to be doing.”
Shine International president Chris Grant said: “With her experience and reputation in EMEA territories and digital media distribution, [Ruth] brings a level of expertise and a unique set of skills to our London team that is second to none.”
The shine catalogue stretches to 3,000 hours and includes MasterChef, One Born Every Minute and The Biggest Loser. Scripted series include The Listener and Archer.
