Disney sets its sights on new Mr Magoo feature

Disney has acquired animated feature Kung Foo Magoo for its boy-skewed Disney XD channel in the US and various international territories.

The show, featuring the classic nearsighted pensioner character, created in the late 1940s, is produced by Anima Studios, Santo Domingo Films and Classic Media.

Classic is distributing and brokered the Disney deal and the show will debut on Disney XD in the US, Germany and Italy.

The plot of the new show follows Quincy Magoo and his 12 year-old nephew as they compete against the world’s most notorious villains in a Olympic-style tournament.
