Exclusive: Former Nick boss Litton resurfaces with new kids project

Former Nickelodeon UK boss Howard Litton has resurfaced in the kids TV business with his first project since leaving the Viacom-owned broadcaster earlier this year.

Litton, who was SVP and managing director, Nickelodeon UK, left the company in January and was replaced by Tina McCann.

He has now joined forces with former BBC executive Mikael Shields and Philip Bergkvist as part of independent production company Acamar Films. He has joined as executive producer and is expected to launch a number of new kids TV projects in the coming months. The company has been involved in animated series – it previously developed a series based on Bing Bunny – as well as feature films.

“I’m probably looking to get back to the creative root. It’s more likely that I’ll do a bunch of projects for a bunch of different people,” he told TBIvision earlier this year.
