Telemundo inks Caracol output deal

US Spanish language broadcaster Telemundo has inked an output deal with Colombian producer Caracol Television, producer of Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso (Without Breasts There Is No Paradise).

The NBC Universal-owned network has struck the multi-year deal with the producer and distributor, which will give it access to around 4,000 hours of content per year as well as its library of 10,000 hours of novelas and series.

Caracol’s latest series include novela Los Caballeros (The Knights), mafia themed series El Cartel and Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso (Without Breasts There Is No Paradise), which Telemundo has adapted for the US market.

“Reaching the U.S. Hispanic audience substantially through a major broadcaster such as Telemundo represents a momentous step for Caracol to consolidate its position as an exporter of top-notch original content designed to all audiences,” said Paulo Laserna, president of Caracol Television.
