uMan to launch in Portugal, Brazil

Israeli producer and distributor Dori Media Group has inked a deal with Portuguese producer CTN to produce a local version of its digital series uMan.

CTN, which is owned by local investment firm Ongoing Group, has optioned the series, which was originally produced for Israeli mobile operator Cellcom.

The show, which is know as Megudalim in Israel, will be produced in Portuguese and will be sold in Brazil, Angola, Mozambique and Portugal. It is a cross platform project that follows eight contestants as they live in a lab for 21 days where ever move is controlled by viewers and they have to score points to win.

This comes months after French producer Banijay Entertainment optioned the series in France.
