ESPN Europe, Middle East and Africa managing director Lynne Frank is leaving the pay TV broadcaster, citing personal reasons.
Frank, who was at Turner Broadcast Systems before ESPN is from the US and will return to California. Including her TBS stint she has spent 17 years in the UK.
During her tenure at ESPN it snagged broadcast rights to key sporting events including live English Premier League soccer games.
An ESPN UK spokesman told TBIvision that she will remain in her current position until September and that the process of finding a replacement is already underway.
“Our business throughout Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Africa have made dynamic progress under her leadership, said Russell Wolff, executive vice president and managing director, ESPN International. “I will work closely with [Lynne] to ensure a smooth transition as we identify her successor.”
