Zodiak Entertainment sells raft of docs

De Agostini-owned distributor Zodiak Entertainment has closed a raft of deals for its latest slate of documentaries ahead of MIP TV.

Australian public broadcaster SBS, Belgium’s VRT and RTBF, Japan’s NHK, Ireland’s RTE, Portugal’s RTP, Italy’s Rai, Russia’s Historic Channel, Radio Canada, Switzerland’s TSR, Bulgarian National TV, Greece’s ERT3 and Israel’s IETV have all picked up Who Killed Maggie?, the Cinétévé-produced documentary about the political assassination of UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher for France 2.

Pan Asian pay broadcaster All Asia Networks, Australia’s Foxtel, Belgium’s VRT and RTBF, Denmark’s Danmarks Radio, Switzerland’s RSI, Austria’s SF, Ireland’s RTE, Sweden’s TV4, Poland’s TVN and Portugal’s TVI have all acquired Hunting Down Paedophiles: Citizens on the Watch, a Premières Lignes TV/Amip France-produced documentary about vigilante paedophilia hunters in Cambodia, that originally aired on Canal+.

Meanwhile, the Impact Press-produced one hour doc Millennium: The Story, which looks at the success of Stieg Larsson’s novel series has been sold to Canal+ in Spain and Poland, Belgium’s Be TV and Switzerland’s TSR.
