Flamman replaces Dee Forbes at Turner

Turner has upped Pete Flamman, giving him responsibility for its channels in the UK and Northern Europe. He replaces Dee Forbes who left last year for Discovery where she is running its portfolio of UK channels.

Flamman was previously in charge of Turner channels in Germany, CEE and the Nordic region. He joined Turner in 2000 from consultancy business Spectrum.

It’s the second major executive announcement this week form Turner after the hiring of Michael Carrington from the BBC as EMEA programming boss at kids channel Cartoon Network. He replaced Finn Arnesen who left last October.

Flamman will run all of Turner’s channels in Europe, including Boomerang, Cartoon, Cartoonito, TCM and Adult Swim. He will report to Jeff Kupsky, president of Turner Broadcasting Europe.

Kupsky said: “Pete has a proven track record of launching and growing successful businesses throughout Europe, which we have seen him achieve in Germany and Central & Eastern Europe.”
