Tricon to sell raft of kids series

Canadian producer and distributor Tricon Films & Television has picked up international distribution rights to a number of kids properties ahead of the Mipcom market.

The company will distribute teen sketch show The Paul Telner Project, a 10x30mins series produced by Let It Out Entertainment. The show mixes a traditional prank series with viral elements.

It has also taken the rights to sell musical family movie Christmas Dreams. The movie, which is produced by Homer and Weiser for Canadian public broadcaster CBC, is the story of family and forgiveness around Christmas.

Tricon will also be selling the second season of The Next Star, its kids talent show, as well as the format rights to the YTV series.
