NHNZ launches China copro

New Zealand producer NHNZ has inked a coproduction deal with Chinese production company Beijing Yuanchun Media as it looks to expand its business in the country.

The Fox-owned factual producer is producing an hour long, one off documentary China Quake about a huge earthquake that hit the Sichuan province last year and killed 80,000 people.

NHNZ, which has an office in Beijing, has worked in association with the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT)  on the film, which features footage from areas devastated by the earthquake, which reached a 7.9 on the Richter scale.

The doc will be aired on National Geographic Channels internationally later this year.
