Spanish commercial broadcaster Antena3 is set to produce a local version of Endemol’s gameshow The Whole 19 Yards after it inked a deal with the global producer and distributor.
It is the first time the series has been commissioned in Europe.
The Whole 19 Yards was created by Endemol UK and developed by its US arm for US network CBS, which piloted it earlier this year.
Antena3 will produce 6x1hour episodes of the show – known locally as Los Ultimos 20 Metros – and will air it later this month.
The show features a number of contestants that must answer a series of questions correctly for cash prizes. However, before they can answer the questions, they must endure a series of physical obstacles.
