UK indie producer Twofour has appointed former Five managing director Lisa Opie as an external consultant to aid the expansion of MEDIAFREEDOM, its web-based service that allows broadcasters to build online TV channels.
Opie was the programming chief at UK commercial broadcaster Five until May 2008 and is also the former managing director of Flextech Television, where she was responsible for pay TV channels including Living TV and Bravo.
Twofour chief executive Charles Wace said: “We feel that MEDIAFREEDOM has the capabilities to outshine the current market leaders so Lisa’s insight, experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping us to expand the platform further.”
Explaining her decision to join the company, Opie said “I chose to work with MEDIAFREEDOM as it can be tailored to fit any project or budget and the technical capabilities are first-rate.”
