ITV Global to coproduce Telecinco gameshow

Spanish broadcaster Telecinco has struck a coproduction deal with British producer and distributor ITV Global to launch gameshow Pasapalabra. 

The deal will see ITV coproduce 300 episodes of the gameshow with the Spanish broadcaster, marking one of the company’s biggest coproduction deals. ITV Global has been expanding its business to produce and distribute series outside of the UK .

The show, which is known as The Alphabet Game in the UK, has been a huge hit for Telecinco, where it has aired for several years and often gets audiences of over 3 million. However, it has previously produced the series inhouse.

ITV Global will distribute the finished show and the format.
