Endemol seals pre-Discop CEE deals

Endemol has inked a raft of deals in the Central and Eastern Europe region ahead of the Discop East market, which kicks off later this week. Its shows have been picked up by the BBC, HBO and a raft of local broadcasters.

HBO has picked up zombie drama Dead Set for Eastern Europe. In Ukraine NTN and the US, UK and Australian versions of gameshow Wipeout. Ukranian channel CITI has also picked up a trio of factual entertainment shows: Gok’s Fashion Fix; Supersize vs Superskinny; and The Sex Education Show.

BBC Worldwide’s BBC Poland has acquired a package of shows including five seasons of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. It has also bought Supersize vs Superskinny, Dead Set and season two of fact-ent series Coleen’s Real Women.

In Russia the local MTV channel has picked up 51 Minds-produced reality series America’s Most Smartest Model.
