Disney strikes Hulu deal

Disney has inked a deal with online video site Hulu that will see its hit series made available via the service set up by NBC Universal and News Corp.

Disney is set to take equity in the company in exchange for allowing full length episodes of shows including Desperate Housewives, Lost, Ugly Betty and Phineas and Ferb to be made available via the ad supported site.

The move comes after months of negotiating and means that content from all of the main US networks except CBS is available via the service, which is rapidly increasing both viewers and advertising dollars.
