Warners shops Eleventh Hour to Living

UK pay TV channel Living has picked up Warners’ drama series Eleventh Hour. It has picked up the 18x60mins series, which is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and stars Rufus Sewell, for its 2009 primetime schedule and has exclusive UK pay TV rights.

In the US the show, which is distributed by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, airs on the CBS network. In the show Sewell plays Dr. Jacob hood, a biophysicist who is called in to help the FBI with tough-to-crack cases.

In the US the show ranks second in its timeslot, with 12 million viewers.

Separately, Virgin Media Television, which operates the Living channel, could shut down its teenage-skewed entertainment channel Trouble and launch a new version of Living, according to local reports.

Virgin is is preparing to sell its content division, which is valued at approximately £500 million (US$697 million), and reports suggest that an additional Living channel would be more commercially appealing than Trouble.

Virgin Media closed Trouble +1 last month, replacing it with Living 2+1. Living 2 is set to be renamed later this year and the operator could also launch a third Living-branded channel.
