Endemol expands in Middle East

Formats giant Endemol has expanded its business in the Middle East with a number of commissions, format deals and program sales.

The producer and distributor secured its first commission in Egypt with Al Hayat TV’s order of 13 episodes of action series Fear Factor Extreme, while UAE broadcaster Abu Dhabi TV ordered a second season of psychological gameshow Ton of Cash.

Endemol Middle East, which is run by MD Ziad Kebbi and creative director Dany Karam, will also produce Wipeout for MBC later this year and Ba Ba Boom for Future TV in March.
