Sony acquires Columbian producer

Sony Pictures Television International has acquired 50% of Columbian production company Teleset.

The Hollywood studio has purchased the producer as it looks to expand its international production business in to Latin America. It has already produced a number of co-productions in the region including hit novela Zorro with Telemundo last year.

Teleset is the largest independent producer in Columbia and produces hit novelas such as La Baby Sisters and El Inutil as well as local versions of formats including Survivor, X Factor and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
