Foxtel picks up bumper package from ITV Global

Australian pay TV platform and channel operator Foxtel has acquired a mammoth package of programming from ITV Global Entertainment that totals over 100 hours.

Foxtel has picked up a raft of titles that it will transmit across its joint-venture channels including the AETN offerings History, Bio and CI as well as Fox Classics and The Comedy Channel.

The package stretches to classic movies including Brief Encounter and The Eagle has Landed as well as factual titles including The Adventure of English and The Celts.

Fleur Fahey, GM of acquisitions at Foxtel said "The Granada Catalogue is so large and diverse we are continually delighted to find content that suits all these channels from the one supplier".
