Echo Bridge inks pre-MIPCOM deals

Echo Bridge International has sealed a raft of programming deals ahead of MIPCOM. The distributor picked up the Alliance Atlantis catalogue earlier this year and has sold a range of the shows in that library.

Mediaset (Italy) and Virgin 17 (France) have picked up musical drama Instant Star, which airs on MTV’s teen channel The N in the US. Virgin 17 also acquired the 23x30mins seventh season of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Kids series Lunar Jim has been sold to ABC (Australia), ZDF (Germany) and BBC Worldwide (for Poland). ABC (Australia) and TV2 (Norway) also re-licensed season two of Adventures of Sinbad.

Meanwhile, Echo Bridge executive VP Dan March says the company is planning to hire a London-based executive and open a UK office next year.
