Vivendi and DIC team up for digital initiative

Entertainment company Vivendi and kids producer/distributor DIC have joined forces and will push a range of DIC’s animated programming on digital platforms. The agreement covers various forms of electronic distribution across North America.

The deal allows Vivendi to distribute DIC titles, which include the (soon-to-be-updated) Inspector Gadget, Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears and more recently Dino Squad, across mobile, VOD, electronic sell through, online, and other digital platforms.

DIC said the deal would extend the reach of its catalogue and Vivendi said it was delighted to have access to DIC’s 3’000 hour catalogue of kids shows.
