Denmark’s DR plans to get more heavily into coproduction and Kim Christiansen will spearhead the initiative.
The Danish public broadcaster said it wants to work more extensively with local partners and better pool resources and expertise.
"The aim is to provide even more high quality TV programmes to viewers worldwide as well as giving TV producers a better opportunity to access international financing," DR said.
Christiansen steps into the new role having previously been head of sales for TV2 Denmark’s international programme and format sales department. He starts in his new role on June 2.
