Ratings Focus: My Restaurant Rules

Reality format My Restaurant Rules gives four couples the opportunity to start and run their own restaurant from scratch. The winning couple gains ownership of the restaurant. The format, which is on air in Australia, the Netherlands and Belgium is distributed by Southern Star.

In the Netherlands, the second season of the show, known locally as Mijn tent is top, launched on RTL4 on February 5. The first episode delivered a 15.4% audience share in the 6+ viewing group, placing it first in the time slot.

From February 5 to March 4, the show averaged a 16.2% audience share. In 2007, the first series averaged a 11.1% audience share in the 6+ (Source: RTL4 / SKO). In 2007, RTL4 averaged a 12.9% audience share in the 6+.

In Belgium, on March 4, 2008, VTM launched its local adaptation of the format Mijn restaurant. The show airs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first episode delivered a 28.4% audience share in the 4+, placing it first in the time slot. On March 6, the second episode drew a 27.5% audience share, again winning its time slot (source: VTM / CIM Audimétrie). In 2007, VTM averaged a 20.7% audience share in the 4+.
