ABC sells Bindi: The Jungle worldwide

The commercial arm of Australian public broadcaster ABC has sold Bindi: The Jungle Girl to a raft of international broadcasters.

ABC Commercial has inked deals for the 26x30mins kids wildlife series, which features the daughter of Australian wildlife legend Steve Irwin, with Finnish commercial broadcaster MTV Oy, Polish pay broadcaster Canal+ and MBC in the Middle East.

The show airs on Discovery Kids in the United States and on ABC Australia.

John Stainton, who runs The Best Picture Show Company, which produces Bindi: The Jungle Girl and produced Steve Irwin’s Crocodile Hunter, told TBIvision: “I said to Steve that Bindi will be ten times bigger. She has every bit of the talent he had and wants to do what her dad did and follow in his footsteps. And she has the ability to sing and dance. She’s such a personable kid and a great role model.”
