WB launches web series

Warner Bros. has commissioned a raft of online-only pilots. It has commission The Jeannie Tate Show, about a neurotic soccer mom, Jim Henson created puppet comedy Simian Undercover Detective Squad and mockumentary Viral.

Warners is reportedly spending $3 million for a total of 24 projects and will approach advertisers after the shows are created to try to recoup costs.
