Pioneer secures Hindenburg commission

UK indie Pioneer Productions has been commissioned by European broadcasters to produce a drama documentary uncovering the disaster of the Hindenburg German airship.

German public broadcaster ZDF, Channel 4 and the Showtime-owned Smithsonian Networks have commissioned the doc, Hindenburg, to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the ill-fated airship’s crash.

The show, which is due for delivery later this year, will be distributed by Channel 4 International.
