Red Arrow shuts Norway prodco to focus on Denmark

Married at first sightRed Arrow Entertainment Group is shutting down its Norwegian production arm as part of a Scandinavian centralisation that focuses on Snowman Productions Denmark.

Followingh a strategic review, the ProSiebenSat.1 Media-owned production group has decided to shutter Snowman Productions Norway.

This means Snowman Norway managing director Jørgen Steinheim and head of productions Dag Obert Eine will leave the company early next year “to pursue new opportunities”.

Snowman Productions Denmark has been a prolific asset for Red Arrow, creating formats such as Married at First Sight, Kiss Bang Love and State of Hate.

Its bosses, CEO Michael von Würden, chief creative officer Rasmus Steenhoft and executive director Lars Fønss, recently signed long term extensions to their contracts.

They will now oversee Norwegian Snowman shows such as Discovery Networks Norway’s version of Married at First Sight. These shows will be produced by Snowman Norway in collaboration with its Danish cousin this year, with Snowman Denmark then working with local partners from next year.

“Snowman Denmark has become an international TV format powerhouse,” said Jan Frouman, CEO and chairman of Red Arrow. “It makes sense to now centralise our Scandinavian operations with Michael and his team, and focus on expanding their business.

“I would also like to thank Jørgen Steinheim, Dag Obert Eine and their team at Snowman Norway for their hard work and commitment over the last five years. Red Arrow wishes them all the best for their future endeavours.”
