Henin will report to David Michel, president at Cottonwood and head of Federation Kids & Family.

He has joined Federation from France Télévisions where he acted as programme executive in charge of acquisitions for kids programming.

Henin’s primary role will be to source and invest in new children’s content both for coproduction and acquisitions of animated and live-action properties.

The appointment arrives as Federation’s kids entities have seen growth, according to the company. Cottonwood became part of Federation in June 2015.

Three years since its launch, Cottonwood now has animated series in production such as Ollie & Moon and Squish, as well as other teen dramas, live action shows and feature films.

Henin started his career at Viacom’s Nickelodeon France in 2005, working on the launch of the new channel that year.
