Mediamétrie’s Baghery exits for new role

French copyright collecting society SACD has named Mediamétrie’s Sahar Baghery as director of audiovisual, cinema and digital creation.

Sahar BagheryBaghery is currently director of global media research an content strategy at Eurodata TV Worldwide/Mediamétrie, and is a well-known face on the international TV conference circuit.

At SACD, Baghery will be charged with implementing the society’s strategy regarding authors and partners in the broadcast, film, web and OTT segments. She will report to Patrick Raude, SACD general secretary.

Baghery as worked in research and strategy roles for Nielsen, CNN International, NBCUniversal, Walt Disney Company France and Canal+ Group.

SACD represents about 59,000 audiovisual and live performance authors, and finances content creation through remuneration rights for private copying.

Mediamétrie acquired a majority stake in UK-based TV trends firm TAPE Consultancy in Septmeber last year.
