Factual-header60-Days-In-0W9A1376A+E Networks and Hulu Japan are expanding their existing relationship through a deal that will see the Crime + Investigation brand debuting in the territory.

The pair already has a content agreement for A+E’s History network programming, and this new deal sees Hulu adding titles including The First 48, 60 Days In (pictured) and My Ghost Story debuting on the HJ Holdings-owned on-demand service as of today.

Other C+I library programmes will join as part of a “progressive roll out”.

“Hulu is a proven platform that is ideal to attract a significant audience for CI’s rich library of ground-breaking programming that has resonated with tens of millions around the globe,” said A+E’s international executive managing director, Edward Sabin.

The news comes soon after the spree of A+E hires in the Asian region, with Fox’s Sun Young-Moon joining as head of programming and development in North Asia, and Youngsun Soh becoming country chief for South Korea.

HJ Holdings is a subsidiary of Nippon TV created after Tokyo-based broadcaster acquired the Japanese assets of American VOD operation Hulu in 2014.

Last year, the company scored exclusive SVOD rights to HBO programming in Japan.
