Cold Case Files reboots on A&E Network

Factual-headerCold Case Files is returning to US-based A&E Network at the end of next month.

Aided by new forensic technology and social media, detectives re-examine old cases and bring closure to victims’ families.

Blumhouse Television and independent prodco Ample produce the 10x60mins season, and actor Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) narrates.

Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming for A&E said: “Cold Case Files remains one of A&E’s most beloved and successful series of all time.

“The new creative team has infused the franchise with a rejuvenated approach to storytelling at a time when true crime investigation is capturing the nation’s attention more than ever.”

Cold Case Files first aired on A&E in 1998 and ran for almost ten years.

Ample executive producers are Ari Mark and Phil Lott, while Laura Fleury and Evan Lerner executive produce for A&E. Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Marci Wiseman and Jessica Rhoades are executive producers for Blumhouse Television.

A+E Networks will be responsible for international distribution.
