Endemol Shine Group has made a number of promotions and hires for its brand development unit, including adding a former Entertainment Rights exec.

Director of brand development Frances Adams has been upped to global director, brands and licensing, which means she will oversee brands such as Masterchef (Australian version pictured), Simon’s Cat and Mr Bean.

She has previously worked as creative director of BBC Worldwide Consumer Products.

Joining her team is Jane Smith, who becomes commercial brand executive. She is a former Entertainment Rights and twofour54 exec, has worked on properties such as Postman Pat, Lassie and Where’s Wally?, and was more recently been a licensing consultant with Endemol Shine.

Alice Bernardi has also been drafted in as head of UK licensing, a newly created post. She has held roles at Viacom and Warner Bros., and joins from licensing agency TLC.

She will report to Endemol Shine UK COO Lucinda Hicks.
