UKTV launches VOD service on Amazon

UKTV_Carousel_image_04UK channels group UKTV has launched its catch-up and on-demand service UKTV Play on Amazon’s Fire TV media player.

A free UKTV Play app will allow consumers to access content via the Amazon Fire TV player and Fire TV Stick.

The app allows users to create collections of UKTV shows under a ‘My List’ function, which will now also be added to other UKTV Play services on other platforms.

Amazon Fire TV1UKTV, which is owned by Scripps Networks Interactive and BBC Worldwide, launched its Play service last summer. As well as Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick it is accessible via YouView, Virgin TV and BT TV.

UKTV Play has content from UKTV channels including Dave, Yesterday, Really and Drama.
