Warner Bros. rebrands Eyeworks in Germany

Warner Bros. is rebranding Eyeworks Germany, with the latter’s COO exiting at the same time, according to a local report.

Cologne-based Eyeworks Germany is dropping its current moniker, German TV site dwdl.de reports, and TBI understands it is likely to be known locally as Warner Bros. International Television Production Germany.

Parallel to this, Eyeworks Germany COO Martin von Winterfeld has reportedly left the business, leaving CEO René Jamm solely in charge.

Winterfeld had run the prodco with Jamm since 2012, when previous incumbent Oliver Fuchs left to become head of entertainment at German pubcaster ZDF. Overall, von Winterfeld was with the business for 12 years.

Warner acquired Eyeworks Group (excluding its US business) last year as part of a strategy to quickly expand its local production capabilities around the world. The group global TV production operations also includes its US studio, Warner Bros Television Production UK (fka Shed Media) and US production wings Telepictures and Warner Horizon Television.

Shed was rebranded last year as part of a wider strategy to bring production assets under the Warner Bros. banner.
