Syfy makes debut in south Asia

Dominion_SyfyNBCUniversal channel Syfy is launching in Sri Lanka, its first roll out in south Asia.

The channel will be carried on the Dialog TV pay TV platform from the start of May. Dialog already carries its NBCU stablemates Universal Channel, E! and Diva.

“This is a momentous occasion for the channel brand as it becomes available in South Asia for the very first time,” said Christine Fellowes, managing director, Universal Networks International, Asia-Pacific.

The launch means Dialog subs will be able to watch series and TV movies including Sharknado 3, Dark Matter, Dominion (pictured) and Asian production The Paranormal Zone. Syfy reality series Heroes of Cosplay will also feature.
