Nick’s Johnson resurfaces at Sesame Workshop

Former Nickelodeon animation chief Brown Johnson has resurfaced at Sesame Workshop, which has restructured its top team.

Johnson left Nick as part of wide-scale restructure in 2013, and has now joined Sesame Workshop as executive VP and creative director.

Her hire comes as non-profit Sesame’s new president CEO Jeff Dunn builds his team out with a series of new hires and management changes.

Another former Nick exec, Steve Youngwood, has joined as COO, having previously been EVP and general manager of digital media and entertainment products at the Viacom kids network.

Former HIT Entertainment chief exec Dunn, who joined Sesame Workshop six months ago, has also appointed Sherrie Westin as EVP of global impact and philanthropy and former colleague Joseph Salvo as EVP and general counsel.

Salvo was previously general counsel of HIT, which is now part of Mattel after Dunn oversaw a sales in 2012. Dunn joined the Workshop in September last year.
