CEE SVOD service welcomes Secretary

Eastern European region SVOD service Pickbox.tv has acquired exclusive rights to new season CBS shows Madam Secretary and Extant.

Pickbox, which operates in the former Yugoslav countries, has already made political thriller Madam Secretary (pictured) available on its Hotbox section, in which subscribers are able to watched subtitled new episodes 24 hours after their US premieres.

Madam Secretary, which recently debuted to 17 million viewers on its Sunday night debut, will be available exclusively to Pickbox for the next six months. Sci-fi drama Extant has also rated well in the US, and will also be offered to subs in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Macedonia.

TV2 in Norway and BSkyB in the UK have also acquired Madam Secretary, which CBS Studios International shops on the global market.

Pickbox offers around 3,000 hours of programming to customers.
