Sky Vision’s Hodson exits in restructure

The commercial director of BSkyB-owned distributor Sky Vision, Connie Hodson, has left the company, as result of a wider restructure, TBI has learned.

Connie HodsonHodson (left) chose to leave the company after deciding not to move into one of three new roles at the top of Sky Vision’s management team. She exited last week.

Sky Vision managing director Jane Millichip has been overseeing a review of the business since taking on the top job toward end of last year and is moving toward a new structure.

The new roles will form a new Sky Vision management team operating under Millichip. Two are genre-specific positions – one for drama and comedy and one for entertainment and factual.

Olivier Jacquet, currently director of international channels distribution for BSkyB, has taken the other and becomes director, sales strategy and operations.

Furthermore, Danny Tipping has been promoted from head of programming and development to director of programming and development. Hodson, however, has chosen not to go for one of the new roles and therefore has left.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Connie for her unfailing dedication and hard work, and also for her professionalism in ensuring a smooth transition to the new structure,” said Millichip in a statement.

“Connie has made a huge contribution to both Parthenon and Sky Vision, and the subsequent integration and growth of Sky Vision.”

Former Zodiak Rights boss Millichip replaced Carl Hall as MD last year.

This came after Sky acquired producer-distributor Parthenon Entertainment in 2012 and rebranded it as Sky Vision. Sky had been seeking to control more of the IP it commissions after upping its investment in content.
