Gail Berman exits BermanBraun

Gail Berman is departing LA-based multiplatform producer BermanBraun, the company she co-founded with Lloyd Braun seven years ago.

GailBermanBraun will now become the firm’s sole owner, acquiring her stake for an undisclosed sum.

Former Fox entertainment president and Regency TV chief Berman said there were “several unique opportunities” she was considering following her decision to exit and would reveal her intent “very soon”.

BermanBraun grew from four staff at launch to more 150 during Berman’s tenure. The prodco creates online content for brands and platforms, and also produces TV series such as the upcoming Dig, on which it is working with Heroes creator Tim Kring and Homeland’s Gideon Raff on for USA Network.

“When Lloyd and I founded BermanBraun, we wanted to create a different kind of entertainment company – one that consisted of both TV and film divisions but also one that established a thriving digital division encompassing content and technology.

“It has been exciting to take my years of experience and leadership in all areas of content and apply them to this endeavour. I take great pride in the company’s amazing achievements over the past seven years. It has been my pleasure to work alongside Lloyd and our incredibly talented team at BermanBraun, and I wish them continued success going forward.”

Braun added: “I am very proud of the business we have built over these past seven years. My partnership with Gail has been a wonderful experience, professionally and personally. I know that everyone at our company joins me in wishing Gail much happiness and continued success.”
