ITV Studios poaches another BBC Worldwide exec

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has hired a BBC Worldwide commercial executive to bolster its acquisitions team – its second recent hire from the BBC’s commercial arm.

Jill Kellie will join the team as senior acquisitions executive, reporting to VP, scripted acquisitions Fraser Robinson.

The hire comes soon after ITVSGE brought BBCWW’s Americas coproduction boss Greg Johnson across to become its senior VP, sales, Latin America and Canada.

Kellie, previously BBCWW’s commercial manager, will now work with ITVSGE’s acquisitions team across its portfolio of independently produced drama and non-scripted series, along with ITV Studios-produced shows.

Ruth Clarke, senior VP, global acquisitions and coproductions said: “Jill has a fantastic background working with a broad range of producers. She joins our experienced team as we continue to grow the breadth of our portfolio and work with more and more leading producers from around the world.”

“This is a great time to join the ITVSGE acquisitions team and work with both ITV Studios and some of the best independent producers,” added Kellie.

In her previous role at BBCWW, she was responsible for identifying productions for international distribution and managing relationships with independent distributors and BBC production unit BBC Vision. She has also held roles at DVD distributor 2 Entertain.
