Entertainment One completes premium listing

Entertainment One has completed its planned change in its UK listing. The TV and film producer and distributor has shifted its UK listing from the standard to the premium section of the London Stock Exchange.

The aim of the premium listing is to increase the profile of the company, which reported annual revenue of £629.1 (US$956.8 million) million in May, compared with £502.7 million a year earlier. Pre-tax profit came in at £53.8 million compared with £43 million.

The company’s shares were trading at £1.99 in early trading today, close to its £2.05 peak in the past year. The firm produces or distributes TV shows including Hell on Wheels, Haven and Peppa Pig.

Speaking about the move CEO Darren Throop (pictured) said: “The premium listing will create a wider exposure which will ultimately be advantageous for the group and its shareholders. We look forward to being considered for the UK FTSE Index Series and the benefits that this would bring.”
