Beyond bringing Hockey Wives to MIP

Beyond Distribution is launching reality series Hockey Wives: Married to the Game to Cannes.

The eight-part series was produced by Julie Bristow’s Bristow Global Media for female-skewed Canadian specialty network W Network. It will debut on the channel on March 18.

It follows the wives and girlfriend of professional ice hockey players as they mingle with one another, socialise and support their partners through their ups and downs.

Nicole Brown, wife of Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown and Noureen DeWulf, wife of Vancouver Canucks goalie Ryan Miller will appear in the series.

Beyond has international rights and will start selling it at MIPTV. Caitlin Meek-O’Connor, head of acquisitions for Beyond Distribution, said: “We are thrilled to start our relationship with Bristow Global Media, not only are we pleased to be working with Julie and her team, we’re also glad to launch with this exciting series from a producer with such in-depth knowledge of the sports world.”

Beyond’s other MIP launches include Pati’s Mexican Table, Game of Homes and The Truth About Female Desire.
