Foothill bags Content Media kids shows, Kidobi deal

100 Deeds for Eddie McDowdLA’s Foothill Entertainment has scored a deal to distribute shows from Content Media Corp.’s children’s programming library and sold titles to VOD platform Kidobi.

The Content deal comprises 1,500 hours of animated shows such as Robotech and tween and family dramas including 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd (pictured), Young Dracula and Family Biz.

“We’re very pleased to partner with Content in this new agreement, which is a significant landmark in our continued strategy to build a catalogue of globally-appealing children’s and family entertainment,” said Foothill co-founder Jo Kavanagh-Payne.

The Kidobi deal gives the VOD service Foothill’s Animal Stories, Barney, Eddy the Bear, Little Monsters, Microscopic Milton and Zot the Dog in the US and Canada.

Meanwhile, Foothill is planning to launch new kids series Rollie & Friends, currently in pre-production, at MIPCOM and has promoted sales coordinator Elizabeth Stephens to director of sales and development.
