MIPTV 2014: ZDFE bring new noir to Cannes

thicker_than_waterZDF Enterprises will launch new Swedish noir series Thicker Than Water at MIPTV. Unlike a lot of the Scandi noir genre, the new one-hour show is not a crime or cop series, but a family drama.

The ten-parter will be part of ZDFE’s MIPTV drama line-up alongside two new TV movies based on Cecelia Ahern books.

There will also be a plethora of cop series from around the world. From Sweden there is Sebastian Bergman, from Belgium there is Clan, form Australia there is Jack Irish and from Germany with A Case of Murder.

ZDFE’s kids line-up for the market includes 52x13mins animated show Rusty Knight and 26x26mins live-action series Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures.

There are three shows produced by India’s DQ Entertainment: New Adventures of Peter Pan, Lassie and Friends and Jungle Book.
