Nickelodeon acquires 3D stereoscopic kids series

Nickelodeon has acquired stereoscopic 3D kids series Bolts & Blip for its networks in Benelux.

The Viacom-owned broadcaster has closed a deal with Dutch distributor KidsPlant Distribution to air the ToonBox Entertainment and Redrover-produced series in the region in the new year.

Separately, ToonBox and Redrover have sold the series in Poland via Canal+’s stereoscopic network and its sister channel teleTOON+.

Bolts & Blip, which follows the adventures of two robot friends, is one of the first stereoscopic animated kids series and airs in more than 70 territories including the United States via 3net, in the UK via BSkyB and in Korea via Skylife.

KidsPlant’s Robbert Ladan said: “We are very proud to have found a home for our brave two Robot heroes at Nickelodeon in Benelux.”

“I’m extremely glad that Bolts & Blip will be broadcasted on teleTOON+ in February 2013. I deeply believe that this modern animated series about a world of robots and heroes that are loved by children, will win viewers’ hearts,” added Marta Szwakopf, channel director MiniMini+/teleTOON+.
