H2 channel launches on Get in Norway

Norwegian cable and IPTV provider Get will now carry factual channel H2 after extending its distribution deal with A+E Networks UK.

H2 will be available free-of-charge to all Get’s customers on channel number 53 until the end of September.

After that, it will be offered as an optional channel in Get’s Start and Family package, making it available to some 500,000 homes on the Get network.

The new agreement also marks a renewal History, which will remain available to Get customers. Both History and H2 are offered in HD on the Get platform.

“Get is an important partner for us, and we are very pleased that they are adding H2 to their channel line-up,” said A+E Networks UK regional director Christian Høyer.

Rune Åsprang, head of TV and entertainment at Get, said: “By adding another factual entertainment channel, we increase the already greatvariety of channels on our platform, which I believe will be highly appreciated by our customers.”

H2 is currently available in 15 million homes across the UK, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. However, earlier this year Vice’s new linear network, Viceland, replaced the US version of H2.

A+E Networks UK is a joint venture between A+E Networks and Sky and its channel portfolio includes History, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and H2.
