Gedeon appoints Deschamps as production, copro chief

French indie producer Gedeon has recruited veteran producer and commissioner Nicolas Deschamps as producer and head of international coproduction.

Deschamps is a seasoned executive, having worked in numerous production roles and having been a commissioner.

Gedeon has a €300,000 investment fund for 2016 and Deschamps is actively looking for new projects that the French prodco can partner on.

He will focus on primetime copros, launching a call for new projects at the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers in Vienna this week.

Deschamps has worked at TV5 Monde, Arte and France 3 as well as producers including Télé Images, Boréales and MC4. He has also been a commissioner at France Télévisions.
